Name: Raymond J. Schaefer
Gender: male
Age: 34
Height: 5’10”
Race: Human (European)
Skills: knowledge of medicine, and can create clones (not any more, due to lab being destroyed).
Abilities: Hypercognitive Response
Items/possessions: med kit that’s running low on supplies.
Appearance: brown eyes, messy dark brown hair, fair complexion, average built. He wears a dirty and torn labcoat, gray-ish brown pants, blue shirt, sneakers- everything torn, but sewed back together.
Background: Born in to a small colony of what was once Zurich, Switzerland; he and his twin brother, Ormand, observed and helped their mother and their uncle, who were doctors. The two grew up wanting to be doctors to be able to help others in this era of disaster. In their mid-teens, Ray had already decided to get into medicine, but his brother grew more interested in studying cybernetics, which he felt would be helpful. It wasn’t until his early twenties that Ray’s father, Gustav, turned him toward genetics, more specifically, cloning. At first Ray had his doubts about them, and preferred to stay in medicine. But he began to see how beneficial cloning could be.
It wasn’t long until Ray was involved in his father’s Mentior Project; along with Dr. Zubriggan and his student, Kasumi. Many of the clones that were engineered failed, until finally, Mentior 177- a fully formed human clone was created. However, that and many that followed had died mysteriously or simply didn’t meet Gustav’s standards. Shortly after clone 189, Gustav passed away, and the research was left in Ray’s hands. Not wanting to disregard his father’s last wish for the project to be continued, Ray and his colleagues went on with the project. There was little success until Mentior 207, was created. The Clone was named ‘Adam’.
Ray and Adam- or ‘Himei’ as Kasumi called her- had a father-daughter bond. From The girl, Ray improved on the project, producing even more clones. However, the success wouldn’t last for long after Dr. Zubriggan was found murdered, and Kasumi shortly after. As for the lab, it was destroyed in a fire, along with all the new clones that followed after Shuhei. To this day it is still unknown how everything ended in disaster. On top of that, Ormand had gone missing shortly after what happened to Yuen. All Ray can do is hope his brother’s well being, and hope that he’ll be found with the help of his clones and their leader.
